Numerous bowlers are being banned and many of them are still in the suspect list.Is there any room of era for bowlers under such circumstances?
Recently the Right-arm offbreak bowler Sachithra Senanayake from Srilanka has been reported in June this year and been called off from International cricket in July but subsequently permitted to play domestic cricket only.
New-Zealand Right-arm offbreak bowler Kane Williamson was also reported in June 2014 for illegal bowling action. He then was prohibited to have a bowl in International Cricket anymore.
Things got more dramatic and tragic when all important and integral part of Pakistan cricket Saeed Ajmal, who is rated as one of the finest bowler in International Cricket and who still holds top most spot in ODI format, has been banned for extending his arms more than 15 degrees as per ICC bowling rule.
Another top ranked mystery bowler Sunil Narine from West Indies is being taken under observation regarding the illegitimate bowling action as he was playing in CLT20 September this year and the consequence of this was that he will not play any single game held under the BCCI (Board Of Cricket Control In India) supremacy until cleared.
This is not the end infact ICC continues its hunger before the World Cup 2015 regarding suspected bowling action and that results two more spinners in world cricket to be banned..Yes isn't it going viral?? Two more spinners had bitten the dust.
The 29 years old Prosper Utseya from Zimbabwe and 23 years old lad Sohag Ghazi from Bangladesh were ruled out from showing anymore bowling skills in International Cricket. Both campaigner were reported the same month of August 2014 and then got banned.
Will this be a setback for teams just before the mega event? Well certainly yes.
Spinners are always an important weapon in any form of cricket whether its T-20 ,ODI or TESTS.Now the absence of such assets for respective teams will hurt them for sure.Beauty of cricket is hidden in skills, but removing the skills like doorsa might will lessen the interest in cricket.Mystery of spin bowlers will be perished by conserving them with specific limitations.
Now its upto you to decide that whether Is it the right time for International Cricket Council (ICC) to hunt bowlers having illegitimate bowling action as the Big stage World Cup 2015 is at its verge?
